Welcome to Historic Hobbies--our business is history! We sell books, art and collectibles about history. We have books, prints, toy soldiers and miniatures related to many historical subjects and periods, but especially Colonial America and the Medieval period.

The Historic Hobbies inventory includes books about archaeology, architecture, artifacts, castles, costumes, arms and armor, art, model building and more. We have paper models of castles, knights, soldiers, Roman villas, Egyptian mummies, southern plantations and more. Historical art by Mark Churms, Brian Palmer, Chris Collingwood and others covering Ancient Rome, the Medieval Ages, the American Civil War, Wild West, and more up to World War II, including some aviation art. Toy soldiers from W. Britain are available in a variety of periods and our hand-painted miniatures, especially the medieval knights, from St Petersburg, Russia have to been seen to be believed!

We are located in Hampton, Virginia near the birthplace of America with the historic triangle of Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown right down the road. From the first permanent English settlers, to the first Colonial capitol, to the last major battle of the American Revolution, we have something to interest you.
